My name is Koen, aged 21 years old.
I've spent my last night watching BraveDave's Freight Train Hopping video's and I absolutely loved it. It inspired me and I am planning to do one myself within a year. I have been wildcamping here in The Netherlands. I hope that I can be helpful to people if it comes to wildcamping. If you have any questions about me, please feel free to ask them and I'll (most of the times) be happy to answer them.

Yeah, wild camping is great, isn't it. Always good to be used to wild camping. It means you can sleep pretty much anywhere, whatever the circumstances. A very useful skill!
If you do go freight hopping please don't get crushed under 10,000 tons of steel as I'd feel terrible. It's not a game out there. Stay safe!
I also live in the Netherlands and have been thinking about going wild camping, but I haven't had the guts to do so yet. Can I ask you where you went because the Netherlands is pretty densely populated and I can imagine it would be difficult to get some privacy. Also any gear recommendations for first timers?
Cheers, Pim
I would personally suggest going to the east (veluwe). It is a beautiful place with small streams of water. Just be sure that you do not get caught. Wildcamping in the Netherlands is, as you may know, illegal, if you do all I could think of is to pretend that you are a foreigner and tell them you were not aware of this. If you need gear recommendations, I advise to visit any ordinary camping/survival shop and claim you are going to do survival camping in sweden(as it is legal there in some places), they will show you everything you'll need to survive.
